7/20/20 22nd heat wave.

Like the Spring, the summer has been nice, a little hot for my liking...we had a 5 day heat wave in June.  Now we are on the third day of a July heat wave.. its 92 right now. Yuck. Poir kitties!

nice sping, coronavirus .

The coronavirus hit late march, so by beginning of april there was virtually no work, had a lot of 6 day weekends... by May the weather turned really nice...like 7-10 day stretches of sunny dry days.  Definitely drought conditions here.

brutal snow storm no power 4/9/20

Just made it home as the heavy wet shit just started coming down. Power went out at like midnight,  got about 14 inches. Trees were down everywhere!!  Was brutal. No power for 3 days!!!! Luckily it was like 40-45 degrees. So I didn't freeze my ass off too bad.

Hot 7-6-19

Heat wave. 3 days in a row it hit 90

Cold as fuck here

Idk. We've had probably 8 storms. Only 1 was like 12 inches,  generally theres been 5 or 6 per storm. Another snow storm tomorrow 3-6.  Theres probably a good 2 feet on the ground though.  Pretty here.  Tough to walk in the woods without snow shoes.

3-13-18 noreaster!!

Well round 3 was a goodie, looks like at least 18 inches right now, I'll get a better idea when I go out to shovel in the am...looks like some bands might hang around the coast for some ocean effect tomorrow.

Got about a foot of snow today. Also major flooding all along the coast.

12-25-17 white xmas

We got around 7-8 inches on Christmas Day!! It looked absolutely beautiful!

I spent the night at beckys because snow was starting at 4am. Slept in Tyler's room.
Watched a Christmas story on my laptop and we watched it as is tradition on Xmas morn along with the fireplace channel with the kitty and Xmas songs,  traditional.

We also watched White Christmas on Xmas eve with mom and beckys friend Tina.

Had a great Christmas as always.

5-18-17

93 degrees back to back days!!  Very nice , going to be 85 tomorrow :)  bring it on!

Haha April Fools 2017

So we had a late Winter storm a couple weeks ago, kind of figured that would be it for the Winter.... we got about 10 inches of heavy , watery, slush, sludge, lead. I wasn't in the mood to shovel that shit at 4am so I got taxied in to work, and of course the heavy slush turned to rock solid ice as the Temps turned to single digits for a couple days.

Flash forward to today April 1st, the 20th anniversary of the 2 feet of snow we got in 1997, and it's still coming down as I write this. It started as snow, wet heavy sludge,  lead bullshit. It's toggled back and forth between heavy wet snow and rain and sleet and mix,  and now back to snow for the duration.  Let's call it another 10 inches...yay April!

3-2-17

Crazy,  last week, it hit 70 and 73 degrees here in February,  a record, it was also like mid 60s yesterday.  Today the Canadian winds blew back in, and the next few nights are going to be down in the single digits!!  Saturday the high temperature is only supposed to be 19.

2-13-17

So we just got hit with 3 storms in 5 days.  :)   first one was around 11 inches, really light fluffy stuff. Then a clipper hit us with like 3 inches, then the Sunday into Monday storm, really blew up in Gulf of Maine,  Maine got whallopped!!  Wedudnt get the brunt but we got another 11. It's still coming down from those last coastal bands.  So around 43 for the season. ...doest look like much Winter left.....we shall see.

2-1-17 snow

So we got like 2-3 inches last night, just saw on the news that Boston has received 15 inches so far the Winter,  we must be right around that total because a lot of the storms brought rain along the coast.  So I'm going to say we have gotten about 18 inches so far, tops!!

We shall see what February brings. ;)

Autumn skies

The foliage has been beautiful this year!!! Despite the drought.  Speaking of the drought,  was soooooo soooooo dry, I've never seen the pond across the street so low!!! Luckily it poured here Friday and Saturday and we got upwards of 2 inches. Ok so it was cool and in the 40s today, but it has been wicked nice overall.

8-12-16 Dog Days of Summer

So yea ...it's been wicked hot again this week, another heat wave, yesterday and today it's been like 96 with super high humidity,  heat index near 100! I'll have to try and get a tally of 90+ degree days so far this Summer, has to be over 10 ;)

Electric bill is going to be ugly.

Hail 6-29-16

It's been hot and muggy for 2 days straight. Near 90. It's been hailing some decent sized hail. Quarter size for the last 5 minutes.  Awesomeness

5-28-16 HOT

So I know I haven't posted in a while. ...

It's Memorial day weekend and the last couple days have been perfect like 75 or 78 degrees.

Today not so much... right now it's 93, the record for this date in Portsmouth is 88, we'll see what happens.

Anyways...Summer is here! !
